Barnet Medieval Festival is London’s only medieval festival of its kind and is dedicated to engaging people in the history of the Battle of Barnet and its significance within the Wars of the Roses. Fought on 14th April 1471, the Battle of Barnet saw Edward IV lead his Yorkist army to victory against the Lancastrian forces led by the Earl of Warwick.
The Festival trustees are delighted to announce that Barnet Medieval Festival will return on the weekend of 11th-12th June 2022! We have been overwhelmed by everyone’s support at this year’s festival and look forward to welcoming participants and public back to Barnet Elizabethans RFC, Byng Road, Barnet EN5 4NP. We will announce full details of what’s planned early in 2022 and will be selling tickets in advance and on the gate.
We would like to thank everyone who came to the Festival in September and helped commemorate the 550th anniversary of the Battle of Barnet. You were a marvellous audience, fully engaged in the history and eager to learn more. If you enjoyed your day out in the 15th century and would like to help us fund next year’s Festival, please consider making a donation here:
